Châteaux Fage, Goudichaud and Haut Beaumard received a star and we are proud to share their tasting notes. youtube to avi online iconvert.media.

A vast domain with 50 ha of vines and 60 ha of forest and meadow, directed by a XVIIIth century Chateau built according to Victor Louis’ plan and owned by the Glotin family since 1930. Different labels here in the appellations of Graves de Vayres, Bordeaux Supérieur and Entre-deux-Mers: Goudichaud, Haut Bessac, Fage, Haut Beaumard et La Fleur des Graves.

Château Fage White 2017 * : A beautifull cristalin color with daffodil reflects for this wine with an expressive nose of box tree and broom crossed with spicy hints. A floral profil that we found in a gourmand and fresh mouth streched in a lovely acidulous final.

Château Haut Beaumard Red 2016 * : an olfaction like a caress combining fruit (blackcurrent, blueberry, prune) to leather and roasted hazelnuts notes, the attack is fresh and tonic with a tannic framework for this wine full of promises.

Château Goudichaud White 2017 * : for the nose, floral, honey and vanilla notes ; for the mouth a good volume, some delicacy, shaded woody notes and a certain lenght.

Château Haut Beaumard – Gold medalist of the Concours de Bordeaux

We are happy to share the news that our Château Haut-Beaumard AOP Graves de Vayres Rouge 2016 has been awarded with a Gold medal from the Concours de Bordeaux 2018 !

Since we acquired the chateau in 2015 we have put many efforts to develop the Chateau and highlight the quality of its great terroir.

Among other things, we start renewing the vineyard, we worked the soils to aerate and de-compact them, we replanted some parcels and start working in a sustainable way. We also equipped the cellar with new vats and invests in a more efficient harvesting machine.

All to reach the level of quality this terroir diserve.

Chateau Haut Bessac Rouge 2016 Silver medalist

The “Salon de l’Agriculture” ended on a happy note for us as -once again- the work of our team has been rewarded! Nous avons reçu une Médaille d’Argent du Concours Général Agricole de Paris pour notreChateau Haut Bessac – Graves de Vayres Rouge 2016.

Here is the jury’s tasting note “Roasted, enjoyable. Frank woody notes, quite generous, beautiful structure, beautiful lenght and final”

Château Haut Bessac is our “ready to drink” wines, friendly and approachable. The range offers great purity of fruit and a smooth texture.

The Sauvignon Blanc, which represent the majority of Haut Bessac white’s blend, is harvested very early in the morning, it gives a great freshness to the wine. Notes of exotic and citrus fruits are very expressive and allows the wine to be drunk alone or with lighter cuisine.

As for the red, the dominance of Merlot allows an easy, young and regular consumption. The wine is delighting and round without being too complex. The mouth is full of fruit and very expressive. As a consequence it is easy to open for every occasion.

Fage and La Fleur des Graves awarded by the Guide Hachette

Once again, our wines have been selected in the Guide Hachette des Vins !

Châteaux Fage and La Fleur des Graves both received a star and we are proud to share with you their tasting notes.

A vast domain with 50 ha of vines and 60 ha of forest and meadow, directed by a XVIIIth century Chateau built according to Victor Louis’ plan and owned by the Glotin family since 1930. Different labels here, under the appellations Graves de Vayres and Entre-deux-Mers : Goudichaud, Haut Bessac, Fage and La Fleur des Graves.

Château Fage 2015 * : This dry white born from Sémillon (60%) and Sauvignon si beautiful with its bright goldish yellow colour. The olfaction is complex gathered around the sauvignon varietal aromas (box tree, broom), the aeration offers a wide fruity emergence (vine peach, mirabelle plum) like “a morning of spicy hints”. A Suave and full-bodied attack annouce a fleshy mouth enhanced by mineral notes in the end.

Château La Fleur des Graves 2015 * : A “sexy” wine by excellence, thanks to its bright almond green colour. On the nose we find bow tree, then citrus, exotic fruits and vanilla aromas. In the mouth, the woody aromas are still a little dominant, we have some freshness brought by a stimulant minerality and lime and dried apricot flovors.

Château Goudichaud Red 2014 and White 2015 are also quoted in this 2017 edition of the Guide Hachette des Vins.

La Fleur des Graves 2012 – 92 pts International Wine Report

Château La Fleur des Graves 2012 – AOC Graves de Vayres – 92 points !

91/100 for the 2011, 92/100 for the 2012, should we wait until the 2020 vintage to get a 100/100 ?
Joking aside, we are pleased to share with you this International Wine Report’s new publication. This result is rewarding our constant efforts to improve our wines vintage after vintage and we hope you will appreciate it the same way.

“This blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot offers lovely aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries which are woven together with exotic spices, spring florals and tobacco. This beautifully made red continues to impress on the palate, where it displays excellent balance and structure, whith gorgeous soft, velvety texture which carries on all the way through the lingering finish. This is already showing lovelu characteristics and I expect it to continue to evolve further with some additional bottle age. (Best 2018-2016) – June, 2016 (JD)”
