Château Brondeau du Tertre – Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge – 2020
2 stars – Favorite

❤ ⭐ ⭐
“A hint (5%) of Petit Verdot alongside Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon in this dark wine, with a frank nose of ripe black fruits and spices. A sweet flavor of praline is added to these aromas in an ample mouth, suave without heaviness, powerful without harshness, supported by elegant and silky tannins and a fine, well-felt freshness. »

Château La Fleur des Graves – Graves de Vayres Rouge – 2019
1 star

“Delicious notes of liquorice and fruit mixed with a light toastiness happily enhance this 2019 primesautier. Its fruity harmonies (cherry, redcurrant, wild sloe) also unfold in a supple and light palate, served by delicate tannins. An airy wine. »

Château Fage – Graves de Vayres Blanc – 2021
1 star

« A fresh and cheerful white from the olfaction, open with intense aromas of slightly candied yellow fruits and citrus fruits stimulated with mineral notes, with a palate that is both lively, elegant and consistent, stretched by beautiful bitterness on the finish. »

Harvest 2020

It was with great pleasure that we started the harvest on August 21 with a plot of young Sauvignon.

The grapes were hand picked under optimal conditions of maturity and aromatic intensity. All of our Sauvignons were picked up before September 3rd. The harvest continues with Muscadelle and Sémillon.

“I consider these Semillons to be the most beautiful since I am a winegrower”

3 stars in the Guide Hachette 2019

Yet another success for our wines in the 2019 Guide Hachette des Vins!

Châteaux Fage, Goudichaud and Haut Beaumard received a star and we are proud to share their tasting notes. youtube to avi online iconvert.media.

A vast domain with 50 ha of vines and 60 ha of forest and meadow, directed by a XVIIIth century Chateau built according to Victor Louis’ plan and owned by the Glotin family since 1930. Different labels here in the appellations of Graves de Vayres, Bordeaux Supérieur and Entre-deux-Mers: Goudichaud, Haut Bessac, Fage, Haut Beaumard et La Fleur des Graves.

Château Fage White 2017 * : A beautifull cristalin color with daffodil reflects for this wine with an expressive nose of box tree and broom crossed with spicy hints. A floral profil that we found in a gourmand and fresh mouth streched in a lovely acidulous final.

Château Haut Beaumard Red 2016 * : an olfaction like a caress combining fruit (blackcurrent, blueberry, prune) to leather and roasted hazelnuts notes, the attack is fresh and tonic with a tannic framework for this wine full of promises.

Château Goudichaud White 2017 * : for the nose, floral, honey and vanilla notes ; for the mouth a good volume, some delicacy, shaded woody notes and a certain lenght.

Our Château Fage Red 2016

is also quoted in this 2019 edition of the Guide Hachette des Vins.

Harvests 2018

The harvest of whites started on August 28th and lasted three weeks due to the maturity gap between different grape varieties.

We started with Sauvignons, which were picked under optimal conditions of maturity and aromatic intensity with a lot of freshness. The exceptional weather allowed Semillon to catch up with the quality level of other grape varieties.

For the reds, the grapes presented well after a summer of quality, they were transformed into exceptional harvests thanks to a remarkable late-season! After a month and a half of harvest, we picked up our last parcel of Petit Verdot on Friday October 12th.

Our Petit Verdot are unique, they are probably the most beautiful ever collected on the estate. They combine aromatic intensity, finesse, tannins and get closer to perfection.

The good weather of the months of September and October has allowed us to pick up each variety at the optimum of its maturity giving us the time to work serenely in order to make the 2018 vintage, a dazzling vintage!

Château Haut Beaumard – Gold medalist of the Concours de Bordeaux

We are happy to share the news that our Château Haut-Beaumard AOP Graves de Vayres Rouge 2016 has been awarded with a Gold medal from the Concours de Bordeaux 2018 !

Since we acquired the chateau in 2015 we have put many efforts to develop the Chateau and highlight the quality of its great terroir.

Among other things, we start renewing the vineyard, we worked the soils to aerate and de-compact them, we replanted some parcels and start working in a sustainable way. We also equipped the cellar with new vats and invests in a more efficient harvesting machine.

All to reach the level of quality this terroir diserve.
